Unchained is being developed in Unity by a team of 70+ students from the University of Southern California, Otis College of Art and Design, Cal State Fullerton and Berklee College of Music.

Enra
A gentle botanist with a special interest in plants, small mammals, and romance novels. When her beloved father's health takes a turn for the worse, Enra sets off into the Greywood in search of The Chain - the legendary artifact that her father abandoned long ago.

Nem
The sardonic spirit of The Chain. An ancient being of tremendous power, Nem is jaded by a long history of betrayal and bloodshed. Her knowledge of battle will aid Enra in her journey to reassemble The Chain but Enra's compassionate nature will leave its impact on Nem as well.

Grael
A brilliant alchemist an old friend of Harlan, Enra's father. Though he can sometimes come across as cold and calculating, Grael develops a soft spot for Enra during their journey through the Greywood. He will do anything to save Enra's father - anything.

Snufflepaw
A newborn neshi, a species of scavengers native to the Greywood. Loves collecting turnips and making new friends. Harbors a big secret that could shift the balance of power in the Chain Contest.

Xochi
An axolotl-woman from the fallen nation of Zol, Xochi is an "immortal baby" who has lived for centuries. With bulging biceps and an even bigger heart, Xochi will hug her enemies into submission as she protects those who cannot protect themselves.

Lonan
'The Maker of Trails' has endured the endless turf wars of the Chain Hunters for decades. After a recent tragedy, the fearsome guardian of the Greywood has decided to take matters into his own hands. No Chain Hunter is innocent in Lonan's eyes - but Enra is unlike any Chain Hunter he's ever encountered.
